Cernobyl, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy are virtually free of Russian presence. However, it needs to be stressed that Ukraine's victory in this instance doesn't necessarily mean it will come out on top in all instances, as the Russians still control significant amounts of territory in the east and south. Furthermore, Kyiv remains a city of strategic value to the Russians and there is a chance they might come back. But for now, Ukraine won the battle. The propaganda machine is already claiming Kyiv was meant to be attacked only as a distraction, to hurt it rather than to capture it and the real deal was Donbas from the beginning. Because everybody knows that in order to occupy Donbas, you have to send your troops to Kyiv and attempt to encircle it from 1 month straight.
