PartySick 137,291
Umm...I don't necessarily buy this. "We asked him to leave, he said 'no', so rather than have security escort him out we invited him back on stage to accept an award" 💚

Mr S 7,652
He should have been escorted out, but because he is a big name, a nominee, and a likeable guy, he will get a bit of a pass whether that's fair or not.
Charmz 3,522
I think we should move on too, but his refusal to leave after they asked him adds a new element to the whole situation. To me, this has become a parable of celebrity arrogance and an unbalance of power/accountability between celebrities and normal people. If I hit someone at work, not only would I be fired, I would also be asked to leave. If I refused to leave, security or police would remove me. Red 88,586
So they asked him to leave, he said "no thx" and they were like "hmm k"? Something doesn't add up If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
Roughhouse Dandy 5,530
If Chris Rock is over it, and Will Smith is over it, maybe people 100% unaffected by a rich guy slapping a rich guy once at an award show for rich people just need to get over it. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

CommonWhiteGirl 1,039
Personally, I'm tired of people whining about this and saying that we need to move on. If you're sick of hearing about it then stop coming into threads talking about it and complaining about it on social media. Obviously, this isn't the most important thing going on in the world right now, but it IS important to hold people accountable, especially those who have tremendous global influence. Will Smith literally assaulted someone on live television in front of millions of people. If we simply drop it and let it go, what does that say about how we expect people to act towards others they disagree with?? What does that say about how we hold rich and famous people vs. regular people accountable for their actions?? If a random member of the audience slapped Chris Rock imagine how drastically different this situation would've been handled. Believe it or not, we as a modern society have the capability to care about multiple things at once and hold multiple people accountable for their shi*ty actions at the same time.
