Last year, Sia was cancelled for her controversial film Music starring Maddie Ziegler and Kate Hudson, for the ableist and disrespectful portrayal of people with autism.

Have you forgiven the Cheap Thrills chanteuse?

I think that having the role of giving forgiveness should be for the people that this film was targeted to

But no, she has yet to show any sign of being sorry about dodging criticism or insulting  an Autistic actor’s talent

not my place to forgive her but, if anything, I hope she educated herself on these issues (also I somehow felt kinda sorry for her, my mental health couldn't handle that amount of harassment and backlash)

Absolutely. She made a mistake, yes, but I genuinely believe it came from a good place. In her head, she was telling a story about a vulnerable person and was wanting to spread love and inclusivity. Now, obviously, this didn’t end up being the case, but this was definitely NOT her intention. If she was a mean, hateful person, I might not be as forgiving. But she is a ball of sunshine and light and does SO much for others.

She is a good human who made a mistake.

Intent is everything. The intention behind the film was a good one. She didn't react well to criticisms yes but she had just worked very hard on something she was clearly proud of and lashed out at people.  Silly mistake that's all.

Im sorry but it wasnt just about her lashing out it was mostly about the movie being really bad and showing a really bad potrayel of autism and not only a bad portrayel of autism but also all the wrong ways to restrain an austistic person incase of a meltdownand to top it all of working with autism speaks wich a very controversial organization thats not a silly mistake thats a whole ass shitshow

But she didn't set out to offend or get those things in the film wrong and/or damaging. The intention was a good one. That's what I'm saying. Regardless of how the film came across.
