Teletubby 149,821
Attorneys for some of those killed and injured during last year’s deadly Astroworld music festival alleged in court on Monday (March 28) that rapper Travis Scott has violated a gag order issued in lawsuits they have filed in an effort to influence possible jurors and rebuild his reputation ahead of a potential trial. At issue is an announcement Scott made earlier this month about Project HEAL, a $5 million initiative that includes funding for an effort to address safety challenges for festivals and large-scale events. Bob Hilliard, one of the attorneys representing the family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest person to die from injuries during the festival, said during a court hearing Monday that Scott used the power of his social media presence to address concert safety, one of the issues being debated by the lawsuits. “It(Project HEAL) is a PR stunt. He’s pretty much trying to sway the jurors before they’re even assembled,” grandparents of youngest Astroworld victim said. “He’s trying to make himself look good, but it doesn’t look that way to someone with our eyes. What we’re seeing is that he’s done wrong, and now he’s trying to be the good guy and trying to give his own verdict on safety.” source source Travis Scott is back performing, on Saturday (March 26), he performed at pre-Oscar party. tylerjs 5,877
On one hand, you could say that he’s damned if he does, damned if he don’t—which is true. But I agree. It feels disingenuous and performative. There could be genuine intention here, but not likely, especially given the stakes at hand. Idk I’m not buying that he really cares all that much 🇨🇺🇧🇸 monica from rhoslc kinda had a point
