Justin Bieber has been sued by a photographer Josiah Kamau as the Baby hit-maker posted a photo of himself with Hailey Bieber on Instagram without crediting Kamau for his work.

“As a result of [Bieber’s] misconduct, [Kamau] has been substantially harmed,” the Kamau’s attorney wrote adding that Bieber “received a financial benefit” by the use of the photo.

In February 2020, Kamau took a photo of Bieber walking with his wife Hailey in New York.
Bieber did not add a caption, but the photo received over 1.8 million likes. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8UYmydHXSj/
A month later, Kamau says he filed for copyright.

In his suit, Kamau says Bieber took the photo in question and posted it on Instagram. The post — which is still up— shows the image with a black and white filter placed over it.

The suit is seeking unspecified damages from Bieber.

Was this a photoshoot or were u just a stalker? lol

Well technically this is still his picture (eventhough he's a paparazzi and this pic is stolen), so he has the right to pursue Justin. And Justin will certainly has to pay him, cause he posted it on his Instagram without the papz permission...

But honestly, if Justin really was harmed by the papz, he wouldn't post the pic. So I guess it's not really a problem to give him credits or if not, pay for the image.

It’s true. It’s just that he’s a stalker, you take pics without permission of people you don’t know. He deserves no credits

I mean, that's his work :lolga: Paparazzis take pictures and people will have to pay/give credit for it, it's always been like that.

It's so weird how you aren't just automatically given rights to a photo you're literally in :bear:

It’s more than 2 years after it was posted. :bear:

He had to wait until it had sufficient likes :glamourpuss:

It's such a scam job honestly.

"Hey, what do you do for a living?"

"I creep on famous people and invade their privacy, generally doing things that would probably get me arrested if they were done to a non-celebrity"

:samanthac:

No respect for the paparazzi or the tabloids in this house :whitney:

that's not entirely true, it's been known for ages now that celebrities call the paps for them, can't say this is true for Justin in this case but I find it weird it's a really good photo and the fact he posted it on Instagram feels like this was more consented than anything, it's obvious when he doesn't want them there given he barely poses for them and rush from the hotel/venue/whatever to his car

It's true, folks often see paparazzis as vile harassers but celebs sometimes use them too so it can be a grey zone at times...

I remember 2009 Gaga being asked about paps and saying " I love them! Please take my picture!" :ladyhaha:

I believe paparazzis were vile as f in the early 00s (Britney, Lindsay, Paris) but celebs nowadays have used them in their favor

Basically. Any amount of money would be like pocket change to him.

Yes, but if Justin didn't exist, this photo wouldn't even exist. So in this case it's stupid. In my country u could sue the photographer because you have to have permission if u want to take a photograph of someone. :ally: So here Justin could basically sue the photographer for taking a pic of him without permission.
