Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has died at the age of 50

The band is currently in Columbia for a music festival and the reports from Columbia are that he was found passed away in a hotel room

Oh man. My roots are in rock (Nirvana, incidentally, is my all time favorite band). This hit hard. He seemed like a such a nice, loving guy. And he was an amazing drummer.

Losing Neil Peart at the beginning of 2020 and Taylor Hawkins not even 3 years later sucks so hard. We've lost so many greats within the rock genre in the last decade. I can't imagine how Dave and those who loved/knew Taylor are feeling.

he was such a lightbeam, such an incredible and charismatic musician! he helped dave through kurt's grief and together created amszing music

i saw them live last sunday and you could see how much they loved each other on every song, every laugh, i'm so glad i got to share that beautiful moment with them

Listening to Everlong this morning and tearing up. It goes without saying that I'm heartbroken for his family, but also for the band, and poor Dave Grohl, having to endure suddenly losing his bandmate all over again. 

I love the Foo Fighters, and they all seem like such nice people. This is devastating

Wow, how fortunate you are to have seen them just last week –– something to cherish. That band really does seem like they all love each other so much.

Damn that is so tragic and so unexpected. What a tragic loss to music and the Foo Fighters family, not this happening to Dave all over again.

I went to Twitter last night and saw this from 3 days ago omfg the responses after last night's news was just so sad. The girl was so happy.  Of course they cancelled their Colombia performance and I think the rest of the South America dates.
