The way Gaga went from a Hollywood is superficial mentality to being one of Hollywood’s it girls is kinda shady to me. I wish she would explain how her thoughts on LA and Hollywood have changed. 
 

The hate on Gaga’s team is unfair because at the end of the day Gaga has the final say in her career and life choices 

I agree with everything, except the last point. Not to argue your viewpoint and opinion, but I personally feel (with the plethora of examples and situations) her team can't hide behind that declaration. Compared to the chaos she lived during her first three albums, with how much slower she is today there is no room for error - but that's just me.

Her unreleased content is some of her strongest material. I find myself listening to it 10x more than anything else she has released. My number one most played song on iTunes right now is Reloaded

- Plastic Doll has one of the best choruses on Chromatica.

- Her vocals in Swine are very underwhelming.

- Joanne is lyrically her least cohesive album. Most of the songs are randomly put together in an album and there's no valid argument to name it Joanne. 

- ARTPOP is a good pop album but musically her least ambitious.

- Born This Way is one of the most daring albums of 21st century.

- Chromatica is Lady Gaga at her lyrical best.

- Chromatica proves that nobody can continue writing massive choruses like Gaga.

Dance in the Dark is the single that got away, one of her best songs ever. I'd love for her to talk about it in-depth one day.

There hasn't been an 'iconic' music video since Alejandro.

Not only is Bad Romance one of the most iconic songs of all times, but it deserves much higher placement when those lousy publications do their (extremely biased and dry) lists.

'Dark-pop' (who coined the term? lol) Gaga songs are her best. Gaga had this incredible power/ability to take her trauma and mold it into a poisonously-ethereal work of art. When she took the happy route (Stupid Love, Rain on Me) it fell flat for me personally.

Enigma is one of Gaga's best songs ever (lyrically, vocally, and that incredible beat). I admit I was shocked at how a lot of Little Monsters disliked it. It's incredible.

But the slowness isn’t their fault, in my opinion. Her team is full of artists who care about their craft and we have seen over the years that when she chooses to go all out, she allows them to shine. The Super Bowl (choreography, hair, makeup) was amazing, ASIB and HOG was amazing (hair and makeup), and the aesthetics for Chromatica (hair and makeup) are amazing. Nothing is stopping her from doing great performances, releasing great music, appearing on television, etc. except herself. It’s her priorities that have changed. You can’t honestly say Gaga’s team is terrible because she doesn’t want to shoot more videos or photoshoots.

I add more:

- Gaga was not a mere "detachment" from a broader social movement tending towards the inclusion of sexual diversity, she was a true CATALYST of that movement. I sometimes wonder what exactly would have become of the music-cultural industry if she hadn't burst onto the scene.

- I often find myself wondering what the right move post Born This Way should have been. In fact, I'd like to do a post about it, obviously starting from the premise that ARTPOP was an immense mistake and misstep that forced a reconfiguration of a career that had been perfect up to that point.

- I would love to see her take a less "commercial" route and make an album more like Madonna's Erotica, with passages that showcase her beautiful speaking voice. A more "coherent" album sonically, that one could simply listen to from beginning to end.

- In line with the above, I would love to see her adopt a more "mature" aesthetic, without losing the typical Gaga. By this I mean it would be interesting if she abandoned aesthetics closer to Enigma or Stupid Love and took a more cinematic route (something like the Joanne World Tour interludes).

Super Bowl hair, makeup and outfit was uninteresting and not it. ASIB era I agree was flawless start to finish, HoG was not. VMA's recent performance has so many issues, and we won't get into choreo because the recent Richy thread expresses my exact sentiments.

I was not blaming Gaga's team for how slow things have been, I was saying that her media life today is much slower (compared to before) and as a result they should have more room to be impeccable than to present half-assed concepts and underwhelming projects. If Gaga unrealistically was able to be mostly impeccable back to back when she was overworked, there's no reason for her not to be during the few times she pops up a year today. I hope that made more sense.

I think if she put more focus on it being named after herself and not her aunt it would make more sense

I would check out of being a fan completely if she only did jazz. Do I appreciate what it's done for her? Yes. Do I want to listen to it? No
