AURAOFSHEISSE 6,515
Blue Bannisters is her second best album after NFR! “Hands on your knees, I’m Angelina Jolie”
CooterFritter 777
Chemtrails & Ultraviolence are her best albums. Mariner’s Apartment Complex & West Coast are her best songs. Born to Die is corny compared to the rest of her discography. Gods and Monsters is one of her best songs. Wild at Heart is perfect ❤️ Doin Time is her best video. I never gave her a chance until recently and I have loved her since.

AbhainnTirim 368
Her music doesn't glorify on things she's been criticised for "honouring", e.g. dependency on relationships, traditional feminine roles, capitalism, drug usage etc, but it actually in a way mocks those things. She uses the persona of "Lana Del Rey" to capture how all of the above mentioned can break a person, and at times, it's so melodramatic the way she presents these issues that it's even mocking at times. Just drawing from "Born To Die", (the only album I can listen to lol ): National Anthem: She mocks America's obsession with money, and how wealth has become so entrenched into American society and how humans are valued Dark Paradise: Complete melodrama, life not going on without a lover, she's shows how "dark" one's state of mind can get when in love and lonely, a dangerous combination This Is What Makes Us Girls: How that carefree attitude and dependency on relationships of many can really be to the detriment in older age. This is my own analysis. Sorry if this isn't unpopular lol, but I just hate reading how critics spoke of Lana's older music. They totally missed the point. Also, I'd really love to hear her do electro-pop sometime!
Rolodex of Hate 1,760
Ok I love her and stan like no tomorrow lol, but unpopular (or maybe popular??) opinion is that her music is becoming WAY too samey, I'm begging her to stop these meandering whispery melodies using just her head voice and try something a bit different. (yes I know there's Dealer but I need more) We have no legal choice but to stan

HausOfAntonio 7,995
She’s not as good a lyricist as people make her out to be. A lot of her lyrics are predictable and some cringey - and they went downhill from Born To Die when they actually worked with their irony and naivety. hELXIG 42,069
Her music peaked with her first album... oops! And Lust For Life was her second, smaller peak. All the other albums feel too much like the same thing over and over Sorry everybody! Maybe I have no taste. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
