Madonna has always been against ageism and seeing herself do "young people things" shouldn't be a problem to her. She's still reinventing herself and exploring new things in her music, staying active and doing projects, having fun, using her voice for important matters... Now would she like the sell-out Madonna from Hard Candy and MDNA? I don't think so I always find it funny when people think Madonna is against ageism, or a victim of ageism because she dates people young enough to be her children or grandchildren. Why? Because it's Madonna who refuses to date people her own age...because of their age. I've even heard her describe people her own age as: *list of stereotypes about older people*. (I don't remember the exact words but they were along the lines of slow and boring. So if Madonna herself has a problem with older people - what puts her in a position to call the rest of us ageist? Sneaky Oliver 22,104
I mean she's still the same human being, stop acting like 90s Madonna is some kind of separate entity. She is the same person, she made her choices, it's not like she suddenly and involuntarily became who she is today Also this is a tricky question. My teenage self would probably hate who I am today and I'm actually glad I'm not who I expected me to be back then, maybe she thinks like this too
androiduser 7,438
I think she would like the "I don't give an F" attitude, but I don't think she would like the music. In 1998/1999 Madonna said she could never perform Vogue and Material Girl again.

Babel 41,431
Madonna was acting too corny back then. after the erotica backlash and becoming a mom she let other peoples opinion get into her head and led her to turn into what society thought a 40 years old should be. I’m glad she escaped from than mentality and is back to do whatever she wants.
MACATL 1,482
I’ve always sensed Madonna was incredibly insecure in her own skin (ironic I know), and I’m not surprised that she is losing her mind over aging. There’s a reason she’s always come after and torn down those around her. She needs to tear them down to build herself up. As a fan of her work (I swear), it’s sad to see her do this kind of thing - to make a mockery of herself.
Crescent Bloom 1,078
Maybe some parts, but not others. It seems like Madonna in 1998 was an individual centered around spirituality, karmic ideals, humanity, her children, and seeing shallowness in her past desires of fame/fortune/materialistic items. Thus, eventually, moving into a POV with her American Life era where she proclaimed that "trying to be like pretty people" was stupid. Her relationship towards her children has absolutely stayed the same. So that, I think she would approve of. Now, to me, it seems like her desire for fame has shifted back to what she was criticizing on Ray of Light. Also, as much as I love her, she isn't the kindest person to her fans and/or to others in her industry, which kinda contradicts with her past morals on karma/kindness. The same contradiction can be said about her recent changes in her physical appearance (getting a bbl and trying to look like most instagram models, etc.). I don't shame her nor blame her in that regard. If she felt insecure about her appearance, she has every right to do what she sees fit to make herself feel more confident. It doesn't help that people have continuously criticized her appearance since the beginning of her career (In addition to calling her old since the 90s). I much prefer her state of mind from Ray of Light to Confessions, but people change. She is the ultimate shapeshifter, and I am excited to see where she goes next. RAMROD 109,367
She would. Not like it is any difference. She's still using another people's culture to be cool and FaSH!oNnNnn~! On either eras. She only changes Mehndi and hakama to grillz these days.
JusKeepBreathin 19,311
No, but I think 2008 & 1992 & 1983 Madonna would like 2022 Madonna. Butters Stotch 5,364
I think it's weird that she is always speaking up against ageism and yet she refuses to look "old", like... I don't know if it makes sense to you, but how can you be against being labeled for being something that you refuse to be? If you put so much effort in not looking old, isn't it that maybe you think that looking old is a bad thing?... just my thoughts, though, I'm no one to judge her. It just sounds like masc x masc gays against homophobia to me. FIND YOUR FREEDOM IN THE MUSIC
