I don't think anything went "wrong" but for me the music just lacked. I can only remember like 3 songs off the album. And I absolutely loved 25 and 21... so.

I love her new album and it made me understand the appeal that Adele has. Everybody is tasteless in my opinion because her voice and the songs are so much better than on her previous albums.

It's kind of embarrassing to keep trying to make 30 a flop :billie:

She has the voice, the charisma and everything you need to be on top. Do we need to remind you 30 and Easy on me charts record?

She feels less authentic than before, living in LA changed her, I can’t bare to look at her interviews with the same programmed answers over and over again.

I agree. Combined with the weight loss, I think some people find her less relatable/authentic. There’s nothing wrong with losing (or not losing) weight at all, for the record, and she deserves to be happy and healthy at any weight.  But I do think it plays into that shift in perception compared to when the public saw her as very outside the industry bubble and just doing her own thing.

Possibly a hot take, but there was definitely a change in tone toward her in the past couple years that align with her image revamp.

nothing is wrong or went wrong, hence the same sound as her previous records... don't fix what isn't broken, right? people clearly aren't bored of her and her music

While all her albums are personal, it was very easy for listeners to apply them to themselves. I am a HUGE Adele fan and have been since day 1, but 30 is very self centered and hard to connect with. In the few moments that it’s not, it’s hollow and missing a melody to sing along to.

Also everybody focusses on the weight loss while in the meantime she also did some major cosmetic surgery in her face that everybody seems to ignore but the Kardashian are dragged through the mud for

You guys are talking about 30 as if it was a type of failure, when in reality has sold more than a million copies in the US. Who else does that without releasing old material and scamming her fans?

I agree Adele has sticked to a particular type of music and that it can be predictable in a way, but that's a personal choice. She tried new sounds and different genres while still making it accesible to the GP. It's he brand. You don't expect her to release a dance record or an experimental type of record like Bjork.

4th album/era curse is real. Rated R, Blackout, ARTPOP, and Witness all flopped/underperformed. The majority of 25’s success was from 21 hype similar to Born This Way with TFM hype. She also took too long to release. The album is great but not worth a 6 year wait. Lastly, the lemonade snub left a bad taste with the black community.

Honestly I thought the facial changes were just from the weight loss but :ohwell:

This is an absolutely WILD claim :triggered: I'm so sick of armchair cosmetic surgery experts that claim Adele's had work done when it's OBVIOUSLY a combination of weight loss and makeup contouring.
