To be fair she's not actually shading male artists but criticizing society/the media.

If she hasn’t mentioned their names directly you should definitely change the title. Stop unnecessary drama! :saladga:

What about Taylor Swift? Tracy Chapman? Amy Winehouse? Amy never had crazy performances, but was praised for her talent

Is it really a double standard if women can sit with an instrument or just stand and look pretty like the guys and get the same praise too, though? That’s exactly what artist like Taylor, Adele, and even Gaga have profited from. No one is stopping Dua or Meghan from sitting on stage with a piano. “Authenticity” being focused on simplicity isn’t a male limited thing and it isn’t new to the industry. Even Gaga has profited off this with Joanne and the whole ASIB movie :bear: Obviously it’s not something I believe is fair though, critics need to appreciate theatrics more and choreography / putting on a show.

I think you're right but I imagine what she meant is probably that for some reason female artists are always expected to change and evolve (and then criticized for what they did) whereas male artists tend to find their image and then sorta stick to it for the rest of their career.
