I need a redo for Judas at some point. The judging was very questionable but it worked out for Jinkx so idc. Kind of a sh*t episode but whatever. Hide contents AND they totally ADR'd the part where Ru said "based on your performance throughout the season as well as the lip sync" lol Yes they did. Monet absolutely did not deserve the win let alone top 2 with her eleventh hour 3 star win. Jinx ate the entire season and deserved to win it all. But a lot of that is that the song choices were whack and rarely suitable for the performing queens. Lip sync for the crown needs to be scrapped. Foolofatook 87 Posted July 30, 2022 Share Posted July 30, 2022 I feel like it would have been appropriate to go back to the old way of having a final group lip synch as a formality and then judging based on performance throughout the competition as it was most certainly not a meritocracy given the Episode 11 situation. I think the real top four was Jinkx, Trinity, Viv and Monet based on numbers (if the Talent Show had been one star). That said I think Raja was majorly overlooked in multiple challenges (e.g. Snatch Game) and she should have gotten a spot in the Top 4. My personal top four would have been Jinkx, Raja, Trinity, Jaida mostly based on my own personal preferences. Controversial opinion though, and it's what I think many are thinking but not saying about the Shea situation: The producers are trying to avoid the inevitable backlash that will come from a majority white top four. Going off performance preceding Episode 11, if this were a meritocracy, Shea did not show up at the level of some of the other girls and was nowhere close to making the final. That's no shade on her, she's amazing even just to look at and she's a great activist. However, I don't think it's fair to push her to the final just to up the numbers of Queens of colour. It's not respectful of who Shea is as a performer, it diminishes her actual achievements which are many. Her talents just happen to not 100% line up with the expectations of the show whereas other queens' did and it was unfair to the higher performing queens. She killed the choreography in the Talent Show but it was just a lip synch at the end of the day. What Raja did was mesmerising, deeply personal and vulnerable and the win should have gone to her and Monet. Delighted Jinkx won. Had Monet won I would have gotten on board, but there were many queens who were denied a spot over someone less deserving (based on challenge performance.) Hope that doesn't offend anyone. Maybe even have the other winners featured in it too. That would have been more impactful imo. Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.
