bionic 46,845 Posted June 12, 2022 Share Posted June 12, 2022 Spoiler Bob lowkey admitted that Monet's team went online ahead of the season and posted in the spoiler reddit saying that Monet was robbed throughout the season and Jinkx was pushed... but I'm yet to see it... to this day people still pushing that narrative Jinkx has done great in every challenge except sewing. Queens time after time say that it doesn't really matter if you don't meet the brief 100% as long as you impress Ru and make her laugh. Shea has been such a non-factor this season, its crazy to think that in S9 many (including myself) considered her one of the strongest queens in the franchise. She's among so many huge stars this time around that it might seem like she’s not that powerful but she has been consistently good in the challenges and except for the Spikes runaway, her looks have been great too! More like favoritism, this is an All Winners season, meaning: they're winners and have a reputation/legacy and I'm sure none of these queens wanted to go back to a competition to get read, critiqued, and get eliminated, which is why this season has a different context. They're showcasing them as best as they can. I'm also sure you already noticed that not one of the judges' critiques has been negative, and in the deliberations they only talk about who stood out the most. Again, this is a whole different thing so "what are we going to do now?" I'd say enjoy this once in a lifetime kumbaya season because watching Drag Race as a Production "gotcha!" scavenger hunt is pretty tiring... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's nothing more to it. And no Monet isnt being robbed. She's been meh the entire time, both in challenges and runways. If someone is being robbed, it's Raja. She should have won another challenge or two by now because she did great. Monet's Pleather Principle runway was sickening, but tbh, she hasn't really blown me away on the whole this season. She's pretty overrated imo. These challenges (on the whole) favor Jinx’s strengths in much the same way AS5’s suited Shea’s. I think the push is a bit subtler this time around because they want everyone to come off looking decent which is nice but every reality show production team has an agenda. Y’all thinking otherwise is just silly. so far, they’ve pushed the chance to basically ensure every queen gets a star (I’m sure Yvie will get one from another queen next week or something), but to me it’s pretty clear that they want a girl to win who is well-liked, indisputably very good even amongst winners, and can build brand equity across the brand by getting new fans to watch older seasons. Jinx does that. The casting kinda hits at 3 points: it lets new queens who didn’t get to celebrate their wins we’ll get extra spotlight, bridges to the Non-US franchises, then brings in older members of the franchise to bolster the brand as a while now that it’s REALLY taken off and give those winners a shot to take advantage of the newer, larger platform. No and yet I don't read the favoritism thing. Jinkx won Snatch Game, the improv and yesterday's challenge and these are all her things. She'll probabily win the ads challenged (if there will be one, I don't know) and maybe some other acting challenge. Jinkx is a drag queen who won against: Alaska, Detox, Roxxxy, Alysssa, Coco Montrese, you are still underestimates her because of her acting naive and funny, but she's one the strongest drag queen ever and she is without doubt the best one in this season, but we all know that is not a factor to win Drag Race so who knows. Yeah but Raja’s was closer and more creative imo. Jinx’s just told her own story. It was an odd choice, personally and didn’t really bring it home to “graduation speech” imo like others’ did. Tbh, though, I think neither should have won this week. If you had to create a Charisma Uniqueness Nerve Talent of winners what would it be?
