I still think that this Friday a new music video could be released...

911 was announced Thursday by surprise. John Wayne was released the same week the Joanne World Tour was announced.

Come on Gaga, restart the era!!

I also see the release of new songs in early summer as possible.

If she was smart, she'd release a deluxe with 4-5 new songs. It's what the era deserves.

Considering that artists now are doing this all the time, sometimes even a mere week after the standard version came out, I don't see why not. Most of them don't even turn any of the new songs into singles, it's just a way to get some last-gasp sales, streams and as a treat for the fans. They don't need to be turned into singles, videos, be promoted or even be performed on tour. So I'm baffled as to why the bare minimum can't be done when everyone else is doing it.

100% agree on this one. That's a good analogy. And the Rina remix sounds like something that can stand on itself as like a single!

Absolutely, the Rina remix could easily be a standalone single. The Sour Candy one could also have potential although the original could easily take off on its own with how much the Blinks will get behind it and they've already proved that they love it, the stats speak for themselves. Covid can hardly be used as an excuse as to why a music video can't happen. Artists have been making videos for every single with full-scale production for well over a year now. I understand 911 didn't take off and in today's streaming world, one bad single performance can result in an era being stopped immediately but this is Lady Gaga. She's more than proven that she can produce multiple hits per album and there's one big hit sitting there, completely unused. I don't get it - Sour Candy is everything that a label should be dreaming of for a commercial hit, the numbers don't lie. So why was it not a single? Did Gaga herself not like it and didn't want it to be a single? Was she told to work with the girls because they were hot up-and-comers, were fellow Interscope artists and would provide a good hit to ride the popular k-pop wave (so saying, their song with Cardi never got made into a single either which surprised me too)? Was it not authentic enough for her? I'd really like to know why. I guess every album has that one song that fans claim was the big hit that never was but songs like SC are engineered to be hits. They're the song which you listen to on a new album and think "this will be a single later, it ticks every box" and not releasing them as singles renders them pointless.

If Gaga did everything that everyone else is and was doing, there would be no Gaga.

Do we just ignore the fact that COVID was a thing as well as the high profile murders of black folk and the protests that happened after? We've seen how Gaga feels about these things and how she's superstitious. She's associated her milestones and events with loss before (5'2"). It sucks that everytime the era seems to have come to an end she gives the fans something more and they still want even more. Let's just enjoy whatever we get and stop pondering so hard on why and if.
