It's "art" :partysick:

I feel like her 'thing' this era is just "IDGAF🤪🤪 I'm just being my crazy self" but I just find it all lazy, unimpressive and uninteresting. There are no layers or meaning to any of it, it's all just random and messy for the sake of it.

Definitely a handful of songs I'm excited to hear but damn this era has sucked so bad. I really can't believe this is the culmination of 3 years' work:poot:

I disagree, I feel like the aesthetics match the free spirited, uninhibited, and avant garde nature of the music.

But that's the great thing about music and art, it's subjective so some will love it and some will hate it.

Is there a reason they're all out of order?

It's because the concept of the album is a 'double' album so you have the moto part and the mami part but they're not in order and she split them in the photo according to that

Well I agree the visuals match the music but I was talking about both - it's all a mess:selena:

I just don't think she is fun or interesting enough as a person to pull off this style.

What made her an amazing artist was her incredible voice, her training as a musician and her great knowledge of different musical genres and cultures. EMQ was so great because she carefully crafted all of her skills and knowledge into something with so much depth to it (if you watch her instagram stories about it, it's really incredible how much though and care went into it).

I certainly wasn't expecting EMQ part II in terms of the modern flamenco sound, but I did expect something with a similar level of depth, meaning and maturity to it.
