I'm pretty sure she got emotional when Helen said some admiring words to her. Also, film Twitter is trash as usual. Anyone who mocks someone for getting emotional is trash. That's what bullies do. She could've been talking about Ukraine ffs but the Internet is going to wreck her and mock her for sure. This woman could literally cry from feeling overwhelmed by the gratitude of just being in the presence of other actors, a presumptuous entitlement to winning is the last thing on her mind. Honestly IF film twitter spends time—at this current time period—going out of their way to snark on celebs for random, minor sh*t...well it's more telling on them considering all that is going on in the world right now. It's one thing to discuss fashion or film or the latest Euphoria episode, another to try and get a petty viral tweet over random BS going. NGL I've seen people do it over other stuff over the past few days (non Gaga related) and it just came across as v. tone deaf. And it's not like I expect much, if anything, in terms of politics (that many people know little about) from some of the accounts I follow and I've already wrote about not putting people up on pedestals...but one of my mutuals on twitter went on a long, lengthy rant about love is blind and then wrote some weird petty stuff and I was like "really?" Edited: like I didn't even expect my mutual to even tweet about Ukraine as I doubt she knows much about the situation, but it seems weird to post a barrage of random petty BS and Love Is Blind tweets and stuff like "lmao." Apart from the simple fact that she's a grown-up, there's no way she would have been expecting to win given that she didn't get nominated for Oscar.
