The mechanics are soooo different. I’m having so much fun exploring that I forget there’s a main story to follow. I just wanted to test it out before I play my pre ordered game on my main console. Areas are numbered 1-6 with 1 spawning Pokémon equal to your level and increasing as you explore through 2-6 2. It’s very easy to get lost and end up in higher level areas: BE CAREFUL. 3. You can do all 3 storylines at once, but getting the gym badges are the only way to unlock higher level rewards. 4. Your Pokémon will NOT auto battle another Pokémon if it spawns as a shiny in the over world (the stress of thinking I KO’d a shiny weighs heavy). 5. You have to interact with other trainers to battle them, auto battles are not a thing anymore. 6. Take your time exploring all areas. The map will be your best friend, mark your destination on the map in case you get lost you can refer to the map on the direction you need to go. 7. Mass outbreaks of Pokémon from EVERYWHERE.
