CaliLilMonster 462
Didn't two Pokémon games already come out in the past 6 months or so? Also this game looks kinda bad graphically. And the game looks lifeless... What are they doing? Are they being limited by the Switch? Maybe Sony should buy GameFreak, the PlayStation exclusive games have been amazing the past few years. Imagine what they could do with a Pokémon game.
Hebi 13,928
Any information on what species are the starters based on? my guess is that the fire type is a snake, the cat is gonna evolve into a saber-tooth tiger and the duck into a sort of a pirate-duck. Thots?

What im guessing is that development for gen 9 happened alongside PLA which would make sense with the close release date, and the similar style it looks like they will be going for. I think PLA is the way gamefreak should take the pokemon games, however I agree graphics is in need of a a major overhaul.

Thots? The fire starter looks like a chilli pepper. Maybe it will become a... bigger pepper Cat could evolve into something like a puss in boots. the pirate-duck idea sounds conclusive. How ever - the starters look tragic...

Same they got to the point where they look like ugly fanarts the duck is growing on me. my favorite is the fire type one. but the cat doesn't even look like poke, rooting for its evolution line tho.
bionic 41,916
Pokémon website confirms the gsme will be open world (to what degree is unclear. Is it zoned like Legends Arceus or can you walk from one end of map to other like in Breath of the Wild?) Also appears to confirm that the full Pokédex will not be included as references “only pokemon featured in the game can be transferred in” from Pokémon Home. They’ve learned nothing buy bionic

This! I saw the Trailer first on instagram and my first thought was 'who made this fake Trailer?' I hate that they think a cat can be a grass type when they color it green If I have to choose I also would choose the fire starter cause it looks a bit clumsy. But honestly... I don't want to choose this time. Maybe the evolutions will change my mind

I mean they develop both these games at the same time. The pokemon company needs to stop being greedy and releasing games every year. At best we'll get gameplay similar to Arceus. At worst it's gonna be Sw/Sh all over again.
Serial Chiller 8,044
Ngl, i'm a bit sour despite all the hype people are giving. From the looks of the trailer I'm disappointed, not in the starters, but the fact that things seem to go back to the way they were pre-Arceus, back to the 2-game deal, back to the piecemeal improvement - while we haven't seen the gameplay the graphics look exactly the same as Arceus. On the other hand I really wanted more DLC for Arceus, or even remade spin-offs. This game could have waited another year while they focus on Hisui this year.

Fingerella 3,170
NGL the new pokemon serving neo pets specially the grass cat. Alaso graphics rendering is giving off Super Mario 64 due to low res textures. I hope they get called out on this so theyed fix this lol 🤡🤡🤡🤡 Edited February 27, 2022 by Fingerella

Actually it looks like they've adopted a lot of pokemon Arceus into the mainline/traditional series. The battling/catching will be like pokemon Arceus. Imo this is a much better direction as I did feel like Pokemon Arceus was a little shallow in regards to actual RPG progression and interactive systems. I anticipate that this game will play like Pokemon Arceus but with a lot more traditional systems like breeding, trading, online battling, gyms, etc. I don't see how this would be a concern for those of us who enjoyed Arceus, just seems like the best of both worlds. ModernEcstasy 8,271
Looks as though Oranges and Grapes may play a big part in these games. (The real world trailer shows oranges and grapes in a bowl and then there are shields on both sides of the door that opens up, with one fruit on each). Could it be hinting at the cover Mons???
Lextyr97 18,936
The game looks like absolute horse **** graphically but hoping they incorporate some lessons from PLA. Hoping it’s good
