Magui 2,656
And Kiev it's under an huge attack right now... When the morning arrives we will see what's left to do. Russia will most likely take Kiev.
KORG 4,756
They have to do things gradually in order too see which pressure level stops them. No point playing all your cards in the first turn, where do you go from there? Though at this point I think they should arm Ukrainian teenagers with drones & steel rope to fck up Russian helicopters. Drones of all types and teenage proficiency really should be used more.

I don’t have the exact numbers (feel free to correct me) but like 60% of France’s, Germany’s, Spain’s etc. energy comes from Russia. They don’t want to kill their economy and it’s understandable. The UK, on the other hand, almost doesn’t get any energy from Russia at all, which is why Boris Johnson can afford imposing the most severe sanctions. Also the oil market is too interlinked. Countries that dont buy from Russia directly would still feel the pressure of a massive energy shortage Oil and gas is already tight as it is. Russia produces 11% of worlds production at over 11 million barrels a day of the 100M produced globally (2nd biggest producer after USA). Even 1 Million barrels a day deficit causes prices to spike. The world cannot handle cutting off Russian oil so they never will unless it got so serious it became a last resort However i would not be surprised is buyers prefered other oil when available as it becomes seen as more secure and Russian Oil starts to sell for a discount That can happen for many reasons. Canada is worlds 4th biggest producer but most of our oil is selling at a $10-$15 discount to WTI and Brent because of pipeline infrastructure shortage and heavier oil type not all refineries can handle so we are forced to accept the price we are given Something simmilar could start to happen to Russian oil (but not as severe a discount as Canadas tho)

If this measure actually haves any affect on Putin intentions, i wonder why only now? Right now Ukraine is under a huge attack, by the morning Kiev will be probably taken. It's like everything was too late. We will see what leverage that measure has in future negotiations.

If he sees this a declaration of war and does have a few screws loose he may just press the button. If he does, that will be the end of him. The world are uniting against him and even in his home country some movement to scrap the invasion is in motion.

They won’t take the Kyiv and the Ukraine is actually doing pretty good for now. Let’s hope it stays this way. Also out of respect for Ukrainian people let’s use the real name of the capital city aka Kyiv (I saw many people from Ukraine asking us to do so).
