I think we're done shaming people who have plastic surgery at this point...? and personally I find it useful to know what famous rich people got done because you know what... not easy to live with all the beauty standards and fake instagram imagery that's imposed on us, at least we wanna know

No she is not. The entire existence of her channel is disrespectful.

“I find it useful to know”

Except this person is not even a doctor (let alone a plastic surgeon) and all of her “info” is based on pictures she finds online. She knows as much about plastic surgery as I do about rocket engineering.

I get where Doja is coming from. Bc of the size of my waist and the fact I looked older as a young teenager, at FIFTEEN F*CKING YEARS OLD, I was getting accused of having surgery until people knew that I was only 15. It’s frustrating when everything is natural and people are like ‘lol yeah she’s had work done’ just mind your own damn business. There is nothing wrong with surgery though - I want my nose done soon and I’m not gonna hide it. But when stuff is natural, it’s really annoying.

Edit : now obviously I’m old enough for that kind of surgery, some people don’t believe me. Before, my age was proof. Now I don’t really have any and I’ve had some peers go ‘uh sure’. It’s really f*cking annoying.

Her channel is gross, I'm so bored of seeing women constantly and disproportionately shamed for cosmetic surgeries. 

What is the point of a channel just trying to clock people for it in the public eye, it's no better than a tabloid doing it, it's unnecessary. 

I understand the need for transparency with cosmetic surgery for individuals that try and market products that mislead with results that are achieved from surgery. But otherwise, why does everyone care? Shut the **** up.

People so obsessed and pressed with why people choose that are in fact often the ones contributing to the social pressures that lead many people to considering surgery in the first place. You don't then get to shame people for doing that, it's a blatant rejection of body autonomy that so many of the same people claim to be a huge supporter of.

But on a more serious note, I actually came across this YouTubers channel myself recently and I really hated what I saw. She's clearly using purposeful misinformation to create drama and get views. It's just toxic. She plays really innocent but she knows exactly what she's doing

I think what she means by "don't be like them" is don't feel like you have to hide it/pretend you haven't gotten anything done

I've heard her discuss questioning whether it's good or not to tell your young fans you haven't had anything done, when really you have, when they're comparing themselves to you, which is a valid concern.

She's had stuff done herself, so she's not against it or anything..

I really hate those surgery overview channels. They literally just speculate what a celeb has had done with no evidence. Like a celeb could gain weight im the right places not all of them be having surgery like crazy.

I see both sides of it. Lorry is generally respectful and is trying to expose that a lot of what makes the appearances of celebrities seem perfect is the result of a ton of money. This makes younger people feel better about themselves. She’s also not critical of plastic surgery. But on the other hand, being a celebrity and having very intimidate details of your life exposed can be scary. And it’s clear that Lorry is financially capitalizing off of exposing the details of celebrity plastic surgery.

It’s a grey area for me.
