My point is that a few hundred Ukrainian madonna fans liking her post does not speak for the entire population of those impacted by the violence. I have no doubt there’s some Ukrainians who would take offense to this. There’s so many less self-centered ways to show support for Ukraine, and yet she chose such a weird and divisive method. You don't have to ignore that just because you believe she had good intent.

I despise madonna’s personality and antics but to be fair it’s in bad taste but it’s also a fan-edit maybe she thought it seemed relevant? it’s not as though her team produced it to promote a song. A fan made it and she shared it…

i think your point is valid and has been heard, you dont like the video, but why do you try so hard to convince everybody otherwise who does not agree with you?

Of course we have yet another thread of misogynists who are incapable of letting women speak on political issues. People shamed Madonna for this in 2003, Katy in 2017, Lady Gaga in 2020, etc. When are people going to be able to let women speak? just imagine gaga doing something like this... posting the video of the "arrest me russia" with a similar message .... extremely self-centered indeed, like she needs some reaffirmation, things like that really make me feel like celebrities are doing it more for the clout than for really being helpful in the most effective ways, that video is extremely distasteful, in any case at least it actually helps for the awareness of the issue, but that's not how it ends and it's not the most effective way to help.
i hope she's really donating behind the scenes or doing something, talking to politicians and demanding action.

Why assume I’m trying to convince anyone? I was quoted and responded. My first comment didn’t even have anything to do with how I personally felt about Madonna’s post. If anything, the people quoting me (and the others they disagree with) are the ones trying so hard to convince people that what madonna did was perfectly acceptable. I’m allowed to respond if don’t agree with that.
