Hmmm, lemme think real quick.

So there's the largest country in the world attacking their neighboring country without any rationally acceptable reason, while its president threatens the Western World (to which, if nothing has changed in the last 24 hours, America also belongs to) to not intervene or face consequences (= nukes). Now said president also threatens two other countries in Europe without them actually ever have done anything. I wonder which implications this might have for the world  .

For real, just log off, get a few books/YouTube videos on world trade and what happened if someone launched nuclear missiles anywhere on Earth. Also, empathy towards the people currently dying fighting for their country, losing their homes (probably forever) and fleeing to other countries might be helpful. Thank you and have a mildly uneventful day.

I mean u guys in the US are quite safe because you're basically on the other side of the world with the atlantic ocean in between. Europe is right next to Russia and it's so close here which scares me and many others a lot. I mean.. Russia has a very strong military and loads of soldiers. My take is that he has been building this up for decades and he wants to go down in history. He has been underestimated this whole time. That was a mistake.

He still can't take down all of EU and this is without the U.S or U.K in the war alone.

But he could do a lot of damage. The EU is weak, unorganized, unprepared and divided. He knows that once he attacks a NATO state, hell will break loose, but adequate response from the EU will be slow. The damage is already done then and might be dangerous to the future of the EU project.

And, that's in the situation he doesn't launch the nukes. I hope he doesn't, but he doesn't seem to care anymore. That man is pure evil.

noah fence but why? nearly all of the people i have understood what’s going on are doom scrolling and literally filling themselves with depression reading article after articles. until directly effected it’s an issue i don’t wanna b apart of

If you're part of the western world this is affecting you. Also, you would be the first to ask people to talk about the US and how you suffer if Russia was invading the US or something worse like using nuclear weapons. But when you comment about world news, it's the same. We used to have a thread dedicated to US elections in 2020. Was it useless or were you part of the discussion too? Do you think that was pointless? Should all the medias in the world not have debates about this war, should everyone not talk about it, no radio, no podcast, no TV, no social media and we just sit and watch a TV show or concert on Netflix, because, well if you are from Texas, this is useless to talk about Ukraine, right? That's your logic. You believe we should live in a world where only people who are from the country that has an issue should talk about the issue, all the others shouldn't because it's "useless"
