Joshie S 6,130
Stupid Love is also empowering. At least to me. "You're the one that I've been waiting for" (a new version of me, that's finally happy) "Gotta quit this cryin', nobody's gonna heal me if I don't open the door, Kinda hard to believe, gotta have faith in me" "Now it's time to free me from the shame I gotta find that peace, is it too late or could this love protect me from the pain? I would battle for you, even if I break in two" This album is full of positivity. Ya'll are just focusing on the negative. As always. The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

Levine 23,591
She'll sing about love, sex even, political topics, maybe religion, about not giving a **** on what people think of you, maybe motherhood. RAMROD 109,634
I understand. It would be fun. But not sure Gaga's headspace is in that place anymore. But hopefully she can combine whatever some of the stans called as "meaningful pop" with some fun beats at least. Everybody wins. Mother of Puppies 36,456
I mean.. she has done so many "fun songs" in her career... and fun doesn't necessarily mean that they`re not personal! I prefer personal songs from any artist which can be fun too y'know. Babylon is kind of a fun song and not particularly heavy... Free Woman & Stupid Love is light and empowering as well as Enigma and Sour Candy... they're not all depressing! O.O I will take whatever she decides to sing about! There will always be a good mix of songs who are somewhat depressive, happy, empowering and also fun! None of her albums are only "depressive" and about only one topic. Guest
It'd be nice to hear her covers of for example Queen, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, John Lennon, etc. songs with the participation of various artists. That would be bop!

THIS even the fame, which some people regard as vapid, it's still about reclaiming your inner sense of fame when you have nothing, and then she also makes commentaries about fame and celebrity culture and argues a lot bout it too, all songs have double or triple entenderes. WhiteWitch 720
I don’t understand why everyone keeps saying they want “The Fame 2.0”. If you look at music trends, it’s very uncommon, particularly for female artists” to go back to their original sound or to stay the same. Gaga should make whatever inspires her at the time and run with it. I can’t think of a successful female artist who hasn’t had drastic shifts overtime in their music since at least the 70s. It’s just not how it works, and saying that her next project should be less personal makes very little sense either. That’s how music and inspiration work. Every album will be an artists “most personal” at the time because they wrote it where they are at that moment. You aren’t obligated to purchase music by Gaga that isn’t your taste, but you also don’t get to dictate what she does or should do. This is the most exhausting trend in parasocial relationships right now. Gaga had mental health challenges, deal with it. Many of her fans relate to this. If you don’t l, that’s ok. Find something you do relate to if Gaga has changed. This is why Gaga interacts with us less. It’s not ARTPOP, it is the fans and their expectations, demands, and criticisms. WhiteWitch 720
As a follow up, personally I’m glad Gaga has moved on from The Fame. I don’t think it’s production has aged like wine, and I personally love to see the growth and evolution in her sound. It’s a great nostalgic album, but seeing where she takes her projects is so much a part of the fun.

Sure these are the exceptions, but both of your arguments are kind of proven wrong. She's still singing empowering anthems. She obviously isn't going to make each and every song about uplifting, light and breezy type themes, because sure you have those moments in life, but you also have bad ones too. She sings about both. I understand what the general feeling is for how she seems to always be sad but I think.. her life has some amazing high moments, but she's also had a lot of time while feeling so low, and she writes about it to express how she's feeling honestly. As she said in Joanne, if you don't like the music, it's her life.. so.. *shrug* I don’t mind her singing about her life and the ugly parts, she’s always done that to a degree and I’ve always appreciated that side of her. One of my fave songs by her is MTN, the message in that comes from a very negative place but ultimately it’s about overcoming what those issues are. I don’t hear much resolution or dealing with anything on Chromatica, in her words it’s ‘dancing through the pain’ which maybe to you that’s something positive but to me it isn’t and that’s fine because it’s just opinions. Not the bore worms!
pop a 911 3,658
I just get irritated how every album cycle is the same story of how she was so depressed and the album saved her, until the next album when she repeats it. i’ve been so lonely in this field, fighting a battle with no shield
