The Russians made incursions in Kyiv area from the west, while in the east they are still trying to prepare supply lines/ corridors with the occupied areas in Chernihiv and Sumy, though people’s resistance makes this a hard task (another argument to the idea that the Russians can barely control those areas that you see painted solid red on TV, the frontlines in this war are more fluid and ephemeral). Russians seem to continue their attempt to capture Sumy and Cherniv. The lines of communications established by the Russians are, again, fragile in this area, as Ukrainians sporadically attack them so Russians can’t consolidate their control over them. Ultimately, for the new peace negotiations, the Russians might want to meet a strategic objective that would put them in a position of power, and that may be the very capture of Kyiv. 2) Russia seems to want to capture the entire Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. The so-caled Luhansk People’s Republic claimed almost the entire region is captured, while Russian sources talk about smaller gains (all this needs to be taken with a grain of salt, 1). 3) Good news for Ukraine - Ukrainians regained control over a small city in the NW of Kharkiv. 4) In the south, the Russians occupied Huliaipole (2), but failed to advance significantly over the Mykolayiv - Novîi Buh road. Russian troops from Kherson appear to be moving towards Zaporizhia and some are still seemingly trying to find ways to cross the Bug so they can attack Odesa (major city-port, third biggest city in Ukraine, with immense economic value). Russian soldiers are lightly distributed across a big part of Ukraine’s territory at the moment, so it’s possible, as social media posts show, that Russian troops previously stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh and/ or the Far East might be further used. https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-march-

I think he needs to be captured, replaced, and given the mental help he needs starting with a brain scan to see if he has a physical malady. The Russians failed to capture Kyiv and the operations around the capital were largely stalled during the last 24 hours. Even though the Russians were able to push the frontline slightly in the NW of Kyiv, Ukrainians repelled Russian attacks on Vyshhorod and Moshchun. They were also successful in defending Kyiv’s eastern suburb of Brovary. 2) The Russians were unable to seize Cherniv or Sumy or establish firm lines of communication between the Russian troops stationed east of Kyiv and the other occupied lands in north-eastern Ukraine (Cherniv and Sumy). 3) The Russians occupied more rural area surrouding Kharkiv, but despite seemingly attempting to connect the Russian captured territory in Kharkiv with the frontlines in Luhansk/ Donetsk, this didn’t happen as Izium is still contested. 4) Russians are claming that they captured some of Mariupol's suburbs, however the city is still under Ukrainian control. 5) Russians troops are seen leaving Mykolaiv and heading towards Zaporizhya. The Institute of the Study of War says that is possible that Zaporizhya, as well as Donetsk and Luhansk became a new priority in the eyes of the Russians. Even so, the Russians did not secure any new territorial gains in Zaporizhya. 6) Also in southern Ukraine, Russians are are still trying to establish a foothold in Mykolaiv and Voznesensk and still trying to find a way to bypass Mykolaiv and cross the Bug river towards Odessa. According to the same source, the fighting in Kyiv might slown down or pause over the next days, but attacks are possible to happen in the south (Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhya). Is unlikely that Russians will try to push into Ukraine from Belarus to create a new axis of advancement, as they already face heavy resistance along the current axis. It’s also pretty clear that we are now is a stage of slow warfare..

However, the Ukrainians launched a few succesful attacks on previously lost settlements. Also, for the first time, Russians tried to establish administrative control over the captured territory by using police structures. This is closer to a genuine occupation, as opposed to just having troops stationed along roads and specific locations. 1) Specifically, Ukrainians launched counter-attacks to take back some of the Russian-occupied towns in the NW of Kyiv. It is known that the Russians attacked Berezan in the east of the capital, however, there is a lot of confusion regarding specific locations of Russian troops east of Kyiv as Russian and Ukrainians control roads/ locations all around and the area is just generally contested. Some of the Russian troops stationed east of Kyiv likely headed back to Sumy. 2) Despite recent offensives, Russians didn’t gain new territory in the Chernihiv region and the oblast capital is still uncaptured. Moreover, the Ukrainians claimed they regained control over five settlements in the region. 3) Nothing changed materially in Kharkiv and the oblast capital remains unoccupied. 4) No significant changes occurred in the frontline in Luhansk either. The Russians were unable to seize Severdonetsk. 5) Mariupol is also under Ukrainian control. Russians may lack combat power to take the city, so they try to make up by using psychological warfare directed at civilians. The so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (Russian puppet in the area) claims it occupied four settlements north of Mariupol, including Volnovakha. 6) The Russian elements heading to Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia made little to no progress, likely in part due to low morale and the low temperatures of the last days, even though Mylovne (west of the Dnieper river) was occupied. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russians may attempt to attack Zapphorizia if Mariupol falls, but likely don't have enough troops. Therefore, the false-flag attack on Belarus might have been intended to push Belarus into the war. Russia sending soldiera from Syria (state under puppet regime) is pointing to the same idea. 7) As everything stalled on most frontlines, the long-awaited attack on Odesa didn't happen either.
