This will involve using 75% of the troops originally amassed at the borders, according to the Pentagon. Hope everybody living in Kyiv or the surroundings to stay safe! Is the rest of the world just supposed to watch and let it happen because they don't want to go to war with Russia? It is unlikey that he will try to claim other neighbour countries, he can't fight with whole Europe and once he will try to fight with one of Nato member he will have to fight with all 30 members. his plan is probably to change president in Ukraine to someone who will do whatever Putin want like it is in Belarus. Ukraine had pro-Russia president - Yanukovych, he was removed from office in the 2014 Ukrainian Revolution. He rejected a pending EU association agreement and decided to closer ties with Russia. He flew to Russia and asked Putin to send Russian troops to invade Ukraine. Putin doesn't like the idea of Ukraine to join Nato or European Union, he doesn't like the West. Today Russia has said that it does not want military bases in the former Soviet countries, the following may be the Baltic countries. This war does not make any sense, first it was because according to Putin, Ukraine was a country of neo-Nazis, now because the USA has bases in Europe, and just today it has said that it does not want bases in the former Soviets. It makes no sense that he wants to invade a country if he leaves it destroyed, no Ukrainian is going to support him, there is something else behind it.
