I know I complain too much but jeez, you cannot convince me you think this looks or sounds good

Don't worry, someone's bound to defend her and try to teach us how she's so not trap/reggaeton and all she does is art with a profound message! :ladyhaha: I enjoyed SAOKO for 3-4 days, I gotta be honest. Whereas this terriyaki (lol) promises to be quite basic. We'll see.

Actually the snippet reminds me a lot of J Balvin's Blanco:

Everything you said is on point tbh. I love her and her first 2 albums were amazing. Even some of her post-EMQ singles I loved, but this album is shaping up to be a mess. I don't like La Fama at all, Saoko is fun but that's about it, and Chicken Teriyaki sounds tragic so far. It looks like she's trying to get a TikTok hit with that cringey singing and that bad choreo.

And the problem is the genre or whatever, I'm all for reggaeton and trap when they're good, but this is just not it. The lyrics are not good, the vocals are absolutely not good either. Idk why she's singing in that weird way now. She has amazing vocals as we all know and she's just doing,,, that. And the production is not interesting enough to keep me hooked. I was hoping she'd go fully experimental and out of the box for this (as that one interview she did made it sound) but it's giving none of that so far. Idk let's see how it turns out eventually I guess.

You don’t get it and that’s alright :iamfair:

Music doesn’t always have to have a profound message or amazing vocals. She already did that two albums ago, and honestly her experimental stuff is entertaining and amazing in a different way

But what is 'experimental' about this?

My problem isn't that this is too edgy or out of the box or whatever lol. It has the most basic run of the mill reggaeton beat, with a very weak vocal. The lyrics are... creative? I guess. Maybe you could say the lyrics are experimental, but it's a failed experiment IMO:laughga:

In terms of the visuals, it's literally just a dance rehearsal in a studio. Absolutely nothing of interest.

No one's melting down, we're just giving our opinions which happen not to be positive :awkney:
