Imagine that but due to sanctions and potential war. Meanwhile Putin fights to keep Ukraine out of NATO 'cause he knows he wouldn't stand a chance at winning against them (the US, really) in an actual conflict. It's kind of a stand off 11% of the US' oil comes from Russia but they provide 30% of Europe's oil on average and 39% of their natural gas. Like, a third of Europe's energy is sourced to Russia so that's where their concern or fears lie. That's my lowkey uninformed take on the situation at least. I really don't believe that nuclear war is a concern Every country with or without nukes knows for a fact that nobody wins a nuclear war. They also know that launching them would immediately paint a target on their faces and they'd have the majority of the human race gunning for their asses. Kim in NK is a madman with an arsenal of nukes he could launch into neighboring countries at any time and even he's not stupid enough to actually do it.
