Shelling intensified at the line of contact in eastern Ukraine, where Russian President Vladimir Putin recognised the independence of two Moscow-backed rebel regions this week and has ordered the deployment of Russian troops as "peacekeepers". Russia knows that the west doesn't want to risk this type of war. Literally no other European country wants to stand in Russia's way because if they do, nearly every European country will suffer devistating economical consequences. Which is also why European countries are so pissed about the US pushing Russia's buttons right now. US is most likely making empty threats and Russia doesn't care about further sanctions. We want peace, we want glitters and glamour, to dance, sing, live life with our differences. What do u think im gonna do? Defend who for what where and how. I'm just 49 kg, 1m60 hypochondriac, who's scared of life, and scared of death. Why can't we just enjoy our dogs, plant trees, enjoy a sunset. What do u think im gonna do? Fight? Kill? You are crazy. Are we gonna live with fear of bombs dropping now? Will that make us miss the fear of viruses? Why like why does this have to happen, why can one person have this much power. Why can't we kidnap Putin. We kidnap him and we tell the russians oh he disappeared. Then we kidnap the ukrainian president so that it doesn't look too suspect and people don't accuse him. Then we let people live without a president just prime minister, we get rid of armies. No armies, no soldiers no weapons no nuclear weapons, everyone is armless. We bring back Putin and the Ukrainian president in a boxing ring. Lash out your anger now little child. That's my fantasy but that's not real life. Oh well, what can I do? They won't invade anywhere else or hurt NATO allies 'cause they know they'd be steamrolled by the US and anyone else on the US' side. That's why Putin has been so deathly afraid of Ukraine joining NATO. I'd like to say even Putin's not stupid enough to use nukes as a threat 'cause all that'd do is ensure a situation where Russia isn't just leveled economically by sanctions, but physically too by the pure military might of literally every other country. Not until the men who run the world and uphold archaic ideologies are removed and replaced by an actual 'fair' ruling body will we be able to move on from our history. The modern era, with the internet serving as the catalyst, has proved the potential many of us have when presented with truth (understanding, problem-solving, empathy). Many people have denounced their former ways of 'being', learned (and continue to) how to coexist with 'others' (people they used to consider 'different'), and are shifting their focus to more crucial topics. The only thing standing in our way, at this point, is the minority calling the shots. Every form of abuse of power has been exhausted to keep the already cracking mirror from shattering. It makes me wonder if the powers that be would feel comfortable moving forward with another world war, or global catastrophe, just to stagnate the incredible growth people have shown. A more hopeful outlook I have is that these people, and all they represent, will just have to die off and let time do the trick.
