newseason 193
I remember having such an unique vibe the first times when I listened to this album. Really interesting and memorable piece of music! And yeah, probably my favorite from Madonna.

It's a shame she couldn't add this because it would ruin the 13 tracks numerology I can see why this was a bonus track, but I LOVE the production on this song. It feels so atmospheric and tranquil. Chlorine 47,976
This album really is a masterpiece and represents Madonna's third peak. It's hard to pick 3 favorites... so instead I'll give a special shout out to Mer Girl. The quiet reflection... how it builds from the haunting sparseness and swells into tranquil optimism/clarity and back. I ran and I ran, I'm still running away. Dr Fudge 8,625
While I know (and like) Ray of Light the song and Frozen, I admit I’ve never listened to the album before. With so many members speaking so highly of the album I’m listening now. Will let y’all know what I think. Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years. It's a psychedelic ambient electronic delight!
CyberRaga 342
Aside from sonically ROL being nothing that was mainstream at the time and introducing electronica to the states: what amazes me is that if you follow her career from the beginning of the 90s up until the release of ROL, you'd never believe she would release her most critically acclaimed (and actually, like never before seen acclaim for a ''pop girl's'' project) and peak for the second time. The album sold as more than her other 2 studio albums released in the 90s COMBINED. 15 years into her ****ing career. Anyways, she should re-release the album with Revenge as the ''lead''. Such a shame, she didn't include it into the album.

Obviously, this is a demo (plus she took some lyrics and put them into other tracks), but I hope it lands on the ROL re-release when she begins to do her re-releases this year. Dr Fudge 8,625
Really liked the album! Besides ROL and Frozen, I really enjoyed Nothing Really Matters, Sky Fits Heaven, and The Power of Good-Bye. Will definitely give it another listen. I remember being a little caught off with my first listen, but the more I listened, the more obsessed with it I got. It's now my all-time favorite album. Honestly, she could also just re-release a whole B side of the album with the demo versions. They’re more psychedelic and raw imo and would just show how great the production and idea(s) was before Orbit’s touch. EDIT: Skin (Flirtation Dance) demo till this day still gets me
Babylon Dynasty 1,806
ROL is my favorite album of hers, I never get tired of it, it's so beautiful and unique, I LOVE the entire album but Frozen and Little Star are top tier in my Madonna songs ranking Nothing Really Matters, Substitute For Love and Ray Of Light are amazing too omg Strike a pose ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💖

This is one of my all-time favorite songs. For some reason it always takes me back to my elementary school years when we used to get dressed up for Halloween and have a Halloween parade in the school playground. I think the song was released sometime in the autumn as a single, right? Or, maybe I’m just making things up. Either way, this song makes me long for the autumn and gives me such a peaceful “good ole days” type of feeling.
