Part of me misses the previous Vanity Fair from the 90s and 00s-mid 10s. They were always so pretty.

This is cute in its way, but it's also giving Glee. :duck:

Nicole is serving like its 2005, but I really hate her outfit because it doesn't aesthetically go with that bright glarring background at all. IDK why they didn't just commit to theme and set her up as a hot professor with some books or whatever.

I like Penelope's cover the best, as well as Idris's - I feel like those two covers would actually stand on their own without it being The Hollywood Issue.

I don't like that Andrew Garfield one - it's too cheesy.

They usually shoot The Hollywood Issue in advance, and usually there's quite a few that don't even make it into the Oscars, like for example, J.Lo was on the cover the year she got snubbed for Hustlers. Honestly, I'm really happy she didn't do this one, as the snub would be more painful (and she probably would have had a 50/50 chance of them putting her in some kind of stupid situation for her photo :smh:).

Anyway, I kind of wish Vanity Fair would quit trying to assemble randoms (like Lily Rose Depp) and Oscar hopefuls, and go back to trying to predict who would become the next gen of Hollywood, or just simply assembling a lot of iconic actors together - those were always the best shoots (aside from the overwhelming whiteness, which was annoying, but sadly reflective of Hollywood).
