This trailer finally confirms this will have better CGI than Wheel of Time so… I’m officially on board :madge:

Some of the styling is off though… costumes look too “new” in quality and the hair/wigs look too obvious or modern in style :madge:

I think I have the same problem with it that I had with The Hobbit, it looks too clean. Also, I hope they're going down the mature fantasy/GoT road, because the voiceover gave me more of a teen series vibe.

Like when the witch lady played by Rosamund performed her dance to cast spells and throw lightnings right in the first episode. But tbf I think it's less a CGI matter and more cutting/general art direction.

Oh ok yeah it's more of a art direction

The cgi for TWOT has been pretty consistant in terms of quality

Yes, it doesn't have the grit of the LOTR movies to make it stand out:madge:

I've read in a Youtube comment that it makes sense because in that high age of the elves everything's more colorful etc. and I guess one could see it like that, but it's still giving me Narnia vibes. And those movies weren't my thing either.

That makes sense indeed, but still it lacks character:fatcat:
