• Puerto Rican urban music singer Farruko apologized for the lyrics of some of his songs and proclaimed his religious conversion.

• During the concert, his famous song ‘Pepas’ (2021) was played, which talks about drug use to enjoy the night at the clubs, but Farruko did not sing the lyrics but asked fans to forgive him for the lyrics.
“I believed my own lie because my song was number one. I didn’t know the message I was sending. I’m not proud of that. Who knows how many of your kids I hurt. Now I ask you forgiveness because love starts from within. Value life because we do not know if we are going to save ourselves" he said.

• He also preached the word of God to the audience multiple times. “God loves you just the way you are,” he told the packed venue. “We’re all sinners, none of us are good people, the Bible says so” and “God is good”.

• Farruko expressed that even though he has all the money and success in the world, he would feel empty and cry at night. “Me, being number one, having the best cars, having it all, I couldn’t see my children,” he explained. “I destroyed my first family. I hurt a woman who loved me just the way I was.”

• According to comments on social networks, some of those attending the concert left during this preaching, while others expressed their criticism on social media.
“I was going to hesitate at a reggaeton concert and I received a sermon. $250 to go to mass from Pastor Farruko,” wrote one of the spectators on his Twitter account. Another Internet user commented on this: “The only good thing about this Farruko concert was that I don’t have to go to church on Sunday.”

• Farruko addressed the concerns of his fans, saying, “I’m sorry to say that Farruko has retired and who’s here is Carlos.
“I’m truly sorry for those who want to see Farruko,” he wrote in Instagram post. “You still have time to not go and we will reimburse your money. Those who go and want a new experience of love, are more than welcome. Even if one person goes, I’ll be there and I’ll love you the same whether you attend [my concert] or not. You still have time to not spend your money and time. No one is obliged. There are more artists that you can follow and go see. I am only fulfilling my commitments because I am from word and I owe respect to my fans and God.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ5Et_sFEDF/

So will he be donating all of his earnings made from the Farruko artist name?

I respect him for changing his stance and direction but can see it being off putting at a live show. Like, you had the stage built, dancers ready, audience and the whole production prepared. Couldn’t he have just cancelled the show or even told them during the first song?

"artists" with this amount of success not even knowing what message they're sending, this tells you how the music industry is ****ed up, just a pile of products, pop music is more meaningless than ever.

Reject False Icons

I remember one of my numerous bullies was a fan of him, therefore I hated everything surrounding them.
Can’t say that life didn’t put them where they were going to be :ohwell:

and I enjoy that sooo much :ally:

I mean he made some good music. I see how he can feel bad about the message of his music. I can’t really say much on him being christian cause thats his choice but I feel it wont be like this for too long.

i feel he probably got into some gang related issues that made him find refuge in the Christian community. The same think happened with Hector El Father. Still remember how churches would use his name to pack their pews and he never showed up. :ladyhaha:

I find Farruko cute was hoping to hop on that  🍆

"The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Cause she's dead."

Hmmm... OK...

I loved Arca's experimental reggaeton, but I'm definitely not here for some reggaeton gospel :huntyga:
