The Kanye Saga, Feb 2022

honestly at this point, it’s sad. people are treating this like it’s some kind of show when he clearly needs help. his actions are inexcusable but we should be trying to help kanye, not laugh at him and watch him further spiral. just like when britney had her meltdown and shaved her head people gawked at her and made her the butt of a joke when she just needed some help. in a world that’s always boasting about “mental health is important”, the second someone is mentally unwell we point and laugh at them instead. kinda despicable.

After numerous reports these Instagram spiraling threads have been merged :bear:

@BUtterfield 8 @COOOK you guys can pick who manages this saga thread I guess, I can make either of you the OP :bear:

We'll leave the Kid Cudi thread separate though since it's actually related to music news and not just...whatever he's got going on right now :bear:

Xoxo, MergeSick :gayhat:

Lmao he’s a multi-millionaire, there are lots of people who live day to day with NOTHING. Mental illness is one thing, but when people have the help available with about as much effort as lifting a finger, no, this isn’t a pity party. Sorry, this is called ignorance.

Agree, it's best to keep what's happening today with Kanye in one same place. Now all I've left to say Mr. Sick, is-

OK so when i was an affluent young adult but refused any help, burned all my bridges and tried to commit suicide and flat out refused help and shut the door in everyone’s faces who came to help because i was in such a dark place etc it was totally my fault because i had the money to find help? kinda ignorant ngl. do you say the same about britney?

not sure if you’re referring to my post, but like i said, i don’t excuse his behavior at all. it’s deplorable, the way he’s dragging his kids into it and attacking innocent bystanders ie billie but clearly the man needs help and if you’re that mentally unwell you will refuse it

I kinda understand where you are coming from but I feel this is not comparable. Britney wasn’t attacking other celebrities and being a bully. He is perpetuating the drama and being antagonistic. He is making it a show. I don’t believe we should be laughing at him in the slightest bc mental illness isn’t one’s fault. However, it is one’s responsibility. I hope Kanye gets the help he desperately needs and he has the resources to get it.

This isn’t about Britney? And yes, believe it or not refusing help is no one else’s fault besides the person refusing it. At that point it comes down to someone’s own right to their bodily autonomy. Yes, you’re wrong.

this is a fair point, and i agree with it. it’s sad to see someone spiral so out of control and i hope he can grasp onto it long enough he seeks the help he really needs, because he’s hurting himself and other people

i hope the world never makes me this cold and i hope you are never put into the same position as kanye/myself/etc when you lose yourself. as someone pointed out, it isn’t his fault but it is his responsibility to find help, but at the same time we shouldn’t be pointing and laughing as he’s spiraling. if you do find yourself in this position, i hope other people will treat you with more empathy than this. take care.

Actually, I went to rehab, Because I was lucky enough to have that support. So, you can take that know-it-all attitude and shove it.

not everyone has that support, hence, showing a little empathy sometimes might do you some good.  would also do the other people around you some good

You are literally re-enforcing my point. He has the support. He’s choosing to refuse it. He lives very comfortably. Please don’t compare my struggles to that of a multi-millionaire. Thanks.
