I will not dignify any of this with a response that requires me to explain anything to people who, like I stated before and stand by, refuse to acknowledge all the problematic undertones with how KK handles her racial controversies.

Oh my god, dude, this one exact shoot is not appropriating anything. She literally have white people hair and dresses like any other model. People of European/middle eastern descent can't even use their own hair/style without being criticized. What he heck is going on. You cant be tan either, Jesus.

The ironic thing is that Kim did spend years (decades?) profiting off of Black culture… yet people pick the one time she actually honors her own culture (Armenian) to create controversy.

Stop putting negative labels to everything and everyone.

Just because you don't like something or someone does not mean it's bad.

Thoughts On

HAIR:

A hair style, that does not imitate natural hair texture, it's not offensive.

You either get offended for all people dying and straightening/curling their hair or you don't, because nitpicking who gets to do this or that with a hair style that one not born with is illogical.

CLOTHES:

Native/indigenous people are the OGs and their aesthetic(s) should always be recognized and given the credit when used as inspiration. Clothes that have a deep religious meaning for a certain group should mostly be left out and kept as religious garmets.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:

Skin comes in different shades not all POC nor white people share the same shade. And POC can get lighter by not exposing to the sun and white people can get darker by exposing to the sun.

Since WWI plastic/corrective surgery has become a tool to improve the quality of life of people by modifying their exterior and later on people of all races have used it for decades to change their looks.

With all of this being said, people obviously can't change nor pass to what race they belong to, mostly for 1 reason: GOOGLE exists.

Blackfishing is impossible to achieve for celebrities because everyone knows who they are and if not they can simply google them.

Darker skin or ligther skin does not mean you're trying to be a POC nor a white person.

Mixed race people exits.

As long as people don't try to imitate natural hair texture or a facial feature or try to use indigenous/native people or religious clothing, we're good.

Love you and respect you all even if we don't agree.

❤️

I am happy you got the message I was trying to convey in my comment because in no way I want to demerit the suffering of POC.

I'm with you sis. People denying the Kardashians ripping off black culture will never see the light. They LITERALLY changed their bodies, lips, skin tone, etc to match those of black women. Don't even get me started on the "Bo Derek braids" mess. Just look at Kylie's transformation y'all.

Here's a thought, why don't we listen to what black people have to say about the Kardashians and white people can't say "this isn't cultural appropriation".

Several of the photos in the shoot are rip offs from Beyonce's Lemonade film/era which was inspired by African art.

Anyone denying that the Kardashians appropriate black culture is clearly blind.

We are talking about this specific shoot, not every other shoot she has done. Get it together. She can't even honor her own culture without people creating controversy. Nobody is saying she hasnt appropriated black culture before.

You don't own a look after you've worn it once :bear:   Idc about either of these women, but they both wear a lot of fashion... things are bound to look similar. Naomi is always such a pressed b*tch. Bad attitude. Never grew up as she got older

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
