I don't think it was a major issue this year (Gaga's campaigning or fashion)...imo there were bigger ones. But I remember when they had those anonymous ballots in the past some people dragged Gaga's fashion choices during the ASIB run and some of them made some weird, vaguely sexist comments about how Charlize Theron didn't smile enough.

Who actually comprises the academy? Like who votes?? If it's just another group of ancient old men with sticks up their asses then it would make sense. Would also make sense why Power of the Dog received soooo many noms (old people love that sh.it)

I hope she attends in support of Freddie. Also, just because you didn't get nominated doesn't mean you shouldn't attend, it would make her look too hurt, and if she has said multiple times it's not about the award but about the process of creating, wouldn't it be contradictory to be upset about not being nominated?

Ikr she wouldn't go unless she gets an invitation. It's not boycotting or anything of the sort. Also like you said, our girl is not this petty lmaoo, she has shown her sportsmanship spirit throughout her career. She may be surprised sure but not salty or anything like that lol. 

With that being said, in my dream I wish she attends the ceremony and wears the most sickening gown that can go down in the history of the most iconic Oscar fashion

I really don't think the snub should be taken as an embarrassment of any form - she should attend if she is invited and wants to attend. Gaga is much more than her HoG role and the missed nomination. But realistically - I don't think she will attend.

since there are a lot others to attend and collect

She SHOULD go to the SAG awards & either the CCA or BAFTAs (I believe they are on the same day on different continents so has to be one or the other). Make the Academy know what they’re missing when their ratings tank & the other shows get buzz.

She should go if she wants to, mainly, I think, for "political"/PR reasons, even more so if she had won one of the other awards (SAG, BAFTA, etc.) she's currently nominated for.

I hope she attends just to show that she isn't as petty as you guys are making her to be 

Just look at how excited she was to be talking to her peers in her latest interviews. She loves mingling with fellow filmmakers, and showing up at the Oscars would be a great opportunity for her regardless of nominations.
