She doesn't look modern at all and when she tries to, she looks so out of place I just wish she could stop with this "we are never growing up" phase and just try to do something different and actually evolve. Yeah this is my main criticism of Avril. I was a HUGE Avril stan Let Go - BDT eras, but after 3 albums it all started to sound "samey" (except Under My Skin is literally one of the best female albums ever) Head Above Water was an iconic departure and mature, I thought she would continue to expand her horizons but then "Bite Me" came it's cute and super catchy but idk, I feel like she's been through so much, and she had the voice that she could be making such better music imo.
