Bling 31,680 Posted February 8, 2022 Share Posted February 8, 2022 "Donald Trump has spoken out about the recent fallout involving Joe Rogan and his Spotify-hosted podcast, suggesting the comedian should stop apologizing so he doesn't appear "weak and frightened." The former president has defended Rogan amid the controversy surrounding the content of his hugely popular podcast, which Spotify paid a reported $100 million for. Rogan has come under fire for sharing misinformation about COVID-19 and the vaccines on his show, which led to prominent musicians including Neil Young and Joni Mitchell withdrawing their music from the streaming platform. Rogan also apologized for repeatedly using the N-word on his podcast, but says clips of him using the racial slurs, which have been widely shared online, were "taken out of context." In a statement, Trump said that Rogan has "got to stop apologizing to the Fake News and Radical Left maniacs and lunatics," amid the backlash to his show. "How many ways can you say you're sorry? Joe, just go about what you do so well and don't let them make you look weak and frightened. That's not you and it never will be!" The statement from the former president arrived as Rogan released a video apology about using the N-word a number of times on his show down the years. Rogan said his statement was the "most regretful and shameful" thing that he has ever had to talk about publicly." Ugh, disgusted but not surprised. Not for Trump, his father taught him differently, reason why he finds his own brother "weak" for dying from alcoholism, reason why Trump never touches alcohol, he's traumatized, obsessed with weak vs strong. I think a lot of people are overlooking the "Planet of the Apes" comment. N-word aside, that "joke" was just plain "OG racism" as Trevor Noah says.
