COOOK 76,406
What makes her the Queen? Is she really the Queen or just the biggest name in female rap of our generation? Did she took the "queen" comments from fans, ran with it, and secured that title with the Queen album? (This is low-key giving me Kanye being "a genius") ... or is she just DeGeneres Queen? Ask Miss Ellen.

Hyperobject 66,771
i think she was very influential in early 2010s, i understand why some would call queen of rap, because she really brought female rap back to the spotlight and got so many hits on the radio and everywhere. but now? idk. Cardi is definitely doing her thing, plus we have amazing girls like Cupcakke who may not be the most popular, but literally shakes the industry with her talent and personality. plus, these titles are so cringe tbh. queen of pop, queen of rap, pop prince and others. who needs this s**t when young artists say that they look up to you as artists? you're not a queen or king, you're simply a talented musician who doesn't need any provocative titles to be recognised as such. weed 73,784
I'd say she was for 2011-2016, I hate her but there's no one else who could fill that spot
Mark 4,065
She USED TO BE the queen, but she clowned herself and married/defending a criminal I would stream her back in the day, but I find it very difficult now supporting anything from her. 00026 † 10000

FameMonster01 7,070
for everyone saying " she was, but in 2010-2016" Just remember someone could say the same thing for Gaga, " yes she was, but in 2008-2011" Nicki Minaj is such an important figure when it comes to female rap, and needs to be given credit for that Although I of course judge her recent actions, and don't stream her music anymore

Anderson123 38,292
I'm not that familiar with the genre but Missy Elliot is called the Queen of Rap for a reason. I think Nicki just had a couple of pop hits with Super Bass, Starships and Anaconda and called herself that because of the thousands of features she was in. I honestly have no idea about which one of them all has had the biggest impact but Azealia Banks does have the better songs. Sad that it's only one LP and a couple of EPs and standalone singles but that has been more than enough to me to listen to her music and keep her on my playlists.
