Jared nominated for a Razzie

Congrats to Jared Leto for the recognition (sort of). He's nominated for a Razzie as Worst Supporting Actor for his role as Paolo Gucci.

WORST SUPPORTING ACTOR

Ben Affleck, "The Last Duel"

Nick Cannon, "The Misfits"

Mel Gibson, "Dangerous"

Gareth Keegan (as James Hewitt, the Muscle-Bound Horse Trainer), "Diana the Musical"

Jared Leto, "House of Gucci"

Guess what? He'll probably be nominated tomorrow at the Oscars too. Such a divisive performance, and I think that's great. We're not evolved enough to comprehend what he tried to do in that movie.

Edited: So sad I have to say the last sentence is sarcasm, although it's pretty obvious.

Or maybe he just wasn't good :ohwell:

Too many people here with moral superiority complex.

I mean, there are people who loved his performance (he got a SAG nomination), and also a lot of people who hate it (Razzie nomination). The fact it's an unconventional performance, very, very different from the other Oscar contenders.

Trying Not To Laugh Season 3 GIF by The Office

That's the problem with his performance, it was bad but it was also good, I don' t know how to feel about it. Without him and what he did I wouldve been completely bored out of my mind watching the movie, I would zone out, he kept things interesting for me. But it was more of a performance for theater or something and a comedy. So in a sense it was bad, the accent was Mario and caricatural, but it was entertaining which is good, you're a performer you're supposed to entertain, but at the same time it was just horrible to do that in a movie where you're supposed to portray italians alongside very prestigious actors. But he was very funny, and very fun to watch. So he deserves the razzie but also not. He's both bad and good

Can’t disagree. He was off key for me, too parodic and no nuance. But idk it was obviously intentional just not my cup of tea even though I loveeee a good spoonful of campiness in my movies.

We were all watching a great story and then there he comes doing his goofy faces and cartoon accent ruining the vibe.

Let's all root for a Jared nomination tomorrow at the Oscars, ok? It's important for Gaga because it shows actors love the movie.

What’s with this comment?!

Quite patronising.

People are entitled to have their own views if his performance was good or bad, and that doesn’t make ones in any way more evolved than others.
