enissa11 2,984
i was introduced to her because of a symphonic metal band that made a cover album of pop songs, in it they covered paparazzi, it was in 2017, but i was so busy with college that i didn't have time to check out the original versions, i check out all the originals in 2019 when i was a bit relieved, out of all of the songs that they covered Paparazzi was the one song that really stood out for me, because it clicked when i watched the music video, i was instantly obsessed, i realized it was not just a silly pop song, she was making a commentary about fame and celebrity culture, how the celebrity chase down the paparazzi as much as the paparazzi chase the celebrity, and both enable a cycle of social death, brilliant songwriting, also the creepy stereo synths and this unsettling atmosphere in the verses was the thing that i loved the most, i was fascinated and hooked so i then check out all her discography, this is the cover in case you were wondering: the last time definitely the video of 911, i watched it a lot of times and the song grew on me so much, i love it to death right now, the layered synths are so good. ThisBitch 3,436
I only liked musicals and Queen (thanks to my dad) when I was a teenager, pop music wasn't really my thing. Until Gaga performed Paparazzi at the VMAs in 2009, a theatrical masterpiece. It was everything and I'm a stan ever since. She introduced me to different genres of music, fashion and art. The last time was the release of Chromatica. Yes 911 is one of her best videos and her performance in HOG is great, but the release of that album made me nostalgic. Regina George 59,387
First time seeing the Paparazzi video for the first time in like 2009. Last time probably for the SB halftime show. Not that I didn’t like stuff she did after but it’s only that I truly felt like a little child watching that performance.

I wrote her on insta and we met some time later in Czech Republic during their concert.
