itsdominik 16,745
As we all know Gaga isn‘t afraid to take risks when it comes to music (yes, with Chromatica she played it a little safe, but other than that). Back in 2008 she pioneered dance pop music and paved the way for many artists in that genre. Dance pop wasn‘t popular back then but Gaga made it popular. Now many people speculate/hope that Gaga will make LG7 a rock record. We know rock is not a new genre and has many subgenres that have been explored already by many artists. One combination of genres that has not been explored by popular artists yet (at least not to my knowledge) is dance rock. That would be a completely new sound in today‘s music landscape and if anyone could pull it off, I think it‘s Gaga. Do you think Gaga could make this combination of genres work and would you be here for it?

vpez 1,250
I never heard of dance rock before, do you have some examples? The only kind of music that comes to my mind when I think about rock music you could dance to, is Siouxsie and the Banshees which I love so I would definitely be here for it if that's the kind of music you're talking about. Some songs of them: Spoiler trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it's broken but you can still see the crack in that ************s reflection. Guillaume Hamon 6,527
Seing how she had a huge public for ASIB rock vibes I think it would be weird she doesn't do more of it, mainly since she adores rock music... Seing the synthpop trend since blinding lights I think there's some dance-rock ( tending to synth-rock/ arena rock with some synths it) thing to do for Gaga. Honestly i always thought it was dope, the songwrittig and overall quality didn't decay imo and they delivered an amazing concept album, i'm not a die hard within temptation fan but i've been following their discography and they just get better and better at what they do, but i also love their early years with more of a doom/goth metal sound, The only project i didn't like completely is Hydra, they really made some questionable choices..
