Scheiße should really have been a single

After Marry The Night didn’t become the success they wanted it to be Heavy Metal Lover & Scheiße we’re scrapped as singles. She was going to release two singles at once in different countries.

Even at iHeartRadio fest she sang a little of Schieße & did a dance outro to HML. There was plans.

Believe it or not a video for Scheiße was filmed and is in the hands of traders. I think it was eventually reworked into the FAME commercial.

Why I don’t remember this info tho? :glamourpuss: in my fantasy the Fame video IS the Scheisse video

Venus, Scheiße and Sour Candy were all deserving of Music Videos as proper singles but they all got basically thrown in the trash :messga:

that's the tweet.

And Sheiße would have?

I have the same feeling about Scheiße. But I think Scheiße would’ve done better.

this is all figurative and we’ll never know.

The opening of the Gagachella with Scheiße was an iconic moment :whitney:

I wish i could have seen it live, but it was too late here in my country :bradley:

No, I can assure you that it wasn't filmed. The Fame ad production was created specifically for the perfume campaign with a huge vfx team and nothing has been reworked into that. I know it sounds harsh and I'm sorry for that but we better kill the buzz immediately because knowing this fanbase it would pop up randomly and people would find a way to blame Gaga for something that doesn't even exist.

I'd love her to release a video spontaneously for it in the future (delusional I know) similar to how The Weeknd did with one of his old tracks recently, the visuals would've slayed and tbh I kinda wish she stuck with releasing this and HML after MTN, who cares if it flopped

Of course no doubt! Just one of MANY Gaga songs that will remain "album tracks" when they deserved to be global smashes with epic music videos and promo :bradley:

These are the things that happen though, even to someone as big as Gaga, if the labels don't see profit by keeping the album era going...they'll stop cold turkey despite other songs still having potential.

If Gaga was an independent artist or at least was running her own lable, maybe these songs would have had the light of day...

Gaga wanted singles to go like this: Marry The Night, Born This Way, Scheiße, The Edge of Glory. I think this would've been a killer line up but sometimes decisions are in the label's hands and they just wanted the best for all of them and its understandable. We still got a really good era and 5 great music videos so I'm happy the way it went.
