Maggie is apparently remaking it. And the few things I read said Jake was heavily involved. It could just be an updated retelling of the story and hopefully not heavily compared to the original film but who knows. I love it and I think Gaga would be amazing in it. Most likely not and but I hope there is something in the works and we get some type of announcement. He also has a film he is directing and a play as well.

Meryl is obviously a higher caliber but Jake has been famous for over 20 years lol so he's def not a young actor a la Chalamet or Holland.
