And maybe it works for the US maybe it's a good thing I'm not sure but the power of being a citizen is to vote, and being part of the future of your country or where you live. I’m a legal permanent resident and have been living in the US for 10+ years and it sucks not being able to vote for things that affect me. If we let every Tom, Rick, and Harry vote during elections, what's the point in having an immigration process? People who want the right to vote need to go through the proper means to secure their right to vote. Sorry. I will never support allowing non-citizens to vote in federal or even state elections. Yeah, I realized that years ago. It is a lengthy process so I am getting everything ready. I can’t afford a lawyer to help me so I am gonna do the whole process myself.
