gumzy3000 7,898
And people still say COVID is just like the flu. This is scary because my 2 year old nephew got it last year. Luckily he recovered very fast but the potential long term impacts of COVID are terrifying. There is still a lot we don't know. trolly troll troll

My aunt had it last year and she still hasn't recovered her smell and taste. She also feels like she can't remember things so well since then, and she's still in her 40s . Recently she has also been having some stomach issues that she never had before, but it's still under investigation by the doctors. IDGAF
Ronk 14,930
Very bad news. I hope people have their kids vaccinated as soon as they are eligible. And protect them from covid at all costs. Such as opt for remote learning if given a choice. My neighbor's daughter opted for that rather than going to school. The reason is her father has diabetes, and if she brought covid home her father could die. Two of her friends also opted out of in-school learning. Tough choice, but the risks are great even if the probability is small. Protect the kids. I live outside the space time continuum.
LaLa 19,898
oh wow, this sucks. My wee niece got it at 7 months old last year, she wasn't super sick and recovered well (my sister got the vaccine while she was breastfeeding, so maybe niece got some antibodies?), but I worry about longterm stuff for everyone
PartySick 172,384
I've also seen that diabetics are at high risk of ketoacidosis if they catch the omicron variant. Covid really is the virus from hell there are definitely more deadly diseases out there but damn...it's like a Swiss army knife of viruses Whimsical bitch
