Why does the instrumental in Sacrifice sound so familiar to me? I’ve heard it before.  I just can’t put my finger on it.

Well honestly that's a pretty great record. Very cohesive and probably the happiest a Weeknd record has ever sounded. I'd say the first half is probably a bit stronger, but overall it's really good. It's also a pretty logical direction after the success of Blinding Lights, but you won't find me complaining.

I gave it a try and it's not for me :noparty: Only standout was Sabotage

Not a song on this record but you did accurately describe what he’s doing to his career :reductive:

I’m tired and angry but somebody should be

No. It’s another song too. It’s an old school song.
Some of lyrics is, “it’s not happening without you.”  That’s all I can remember. It’s bugging me.

Gasoline is a BOP

Reminds me so much of Gaga's 911 where the verses hits your gushyyyyyy just right that really makes you pop and bop

After first listen: very solid album, maybe not as strong as After Hours, but hey.
So far, my favorite one is Less Than Zero.

The Weeknd really is the most interesting male artist atm.

Wow. It’s so so so good. Abel… wow. His best work right here. The production just went absolutely crazy. The sounds are immaculate. The lyrics so dark, raw and real. This album is just a masterpiece. I know you’re smilingggg @Morphine Prince !!!

Some of his best work tbh - and he described it perfectly as a "sonic universe" because it is incredibly immersive.

The idea of this work as a radio station that heals and leads you to happiness is truly brilliant. Besides Gaga, he's one of the few artists who truly creates a true era with a theme running thru it.
