HuffsAhoy 7,433
Truly the hit that got away I love PRISM so much, it's my favorite Katy album You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.
Noir 16,703
One of her best songs omfg, the prism era was literally written out and her record slept on two of her best songs: Walking On Air & Legendary Lovers, which could've been massive hits alongside Roar & DH. I think the singles run should've been... 1. Roar 2. Dark Horse (ft. Juicy J) -Album Release- 3. Walkking On Air 4. Legendary Lovers 5. I feel that Dark Horse’s music video took visual elements that would have been used in Legendary Lovers (opening blood orange sun in Dark Horse, the whole Cleopatra look, magic, marching). These are all parts of the Legendary Lovers lyrics that ended up being in the Dark Horse video

HeavyMetal Halcyon 1,699
I hope this song picks up on TikTok and she ends up doing a retroactive single release like Meghan Trainor or Kesha did for Title and Cannibal respectively. This song still slaps so hard in 2022, and is relevant to what is going on with the "nu-disco" trend. Chromatica Forever

These are all parts of the Legendary Lovers lyrics that ended up being in the Dark Horse video The thing is even after the Dark Horse era was over, a fan asked her in person from what I can recall If Legendary Lovers is gonna be a single and she said yes confidently. Katy’s team strike me as the people who don’t like to take risks as Peacock was scrapped as a single despite Katy’s request for being too raunchy (when that same year Rihanna’s S&M went #1). I feel her team pushed against Legendary Lovers in favor for safer radio singles such as Birthday and This is How We Do. The issue is those songs didn’t really take off, as they were really stale even for Katy. I think the GP and even us Popheads would have loved a house cut like Walking On Air and a oriental tune like Legendary Lovers getting visuals, more tv performances and ultimately being moments in her career. A shame really, considering it was during her peak days.
flyaway 15,350
I didn't pay attention to Katy during the Prism era. I really liked this performance
