From several studies, over that period, research showed a weak to moderate tendency for those who showed the strongest admiration for their favorite celebrity to have lower cognitive skills, using a variety of cognitive measures,” explained study authors Lynn E. It does imply that people with a lack of education or with cognitive impairments are prone to idolizing people/things. It makes me feel like a crappy person, especially since I didn't have a good education back then. I'm also very expressive of my interests because I like showing what I like, but this makes me want to hide myself even more. I think that you can like a celebrity and not be stupid. You can get anything out of anything you idolize. I really love Gaga because she saved my life and helped me preserve myself through her messages. If that's stupid, so mote it be. There are many types of stans in the industry, it really depends on the exact person. I have seen very intelligent stans and also stans who are blind to arguments and are utterly incapable of making a case for why they behave or think the way they do. But I think as Gaga stans we should be a bit more aware and not be so confescending to each other and other artists, and even towards Gaga. I think one thing stans need to remember is that we don't have control over every single thing in life, only how we react. I see some that get upset when their davorite artist does something they hate, even if it's small. So what if your fav loses an award to someone else whose work you don't think is better than your fav's? Deal with it.
