All of these movies skewed male though? I don’t think calling them bro movies is untrue.

Young men have been driving the box office this year. Of course women and gays enjoy superhero movies and action films, but straight men drive the majority of box office interest, sometimes making up almost 70% of ticket sales.

It’s sad how half of these movies are Superhero movies and only one is an original non-IP film, non-sequel. People just do not come out for anything off the beaten path anymore. I really blame Disney for over-saturating the box office with IP slop.
