But because of the Omicron variant and the huge spike in COVID cases in Los Angeles the Grammy Awards are moving to a new date. The new date will be in late March or early April. CBS and the Recording Academy are trying to find alternative venues. The Hollywood Bowl is being discussed as it would be outside. But the weather would have to be on the side of the music biz. Please Grammys have 86 categories, they would have over 150 people if they only invite nominated for AOTY. many people will not attend this event just to not be criticized for partying in the middle of the pandemic peak and it's not going to look good for Grammys if this event turn into super spreader event while hospital services will be overwhelmed.
